In this Star Wars parody thumbs, and several fingers, portray the characters. Loke Groundrunner along with Oobedoob Benubi attempt to rescue Princess Bunhead from the evil Black Helmut Man and the Evil Thumbpire.
Steve Oedekerk (Loke, Beboobep, Gabba, Puppet, and more), Andrea Fears (Princess Bunhead), Ross Shafer (Hand Duet), Rob Paulsen (Oobedoob Benubi/Thumbtrooper), Paul Greenberg (Prissypeo), Jim Jackman (Crunchy/Lt.), Mark DeCarlo (Black Helmet Man).
Thumb Wars - Yep, thumbs re-enacting Star Wars with a bit of humor. Think South Park without bad language (so the kids can watch) and actual real live thumbs. Sounds silly but I thought it was funny. The kids liked it too.
The acting was incredibly good! (Ya right, they are thumbs!)
Camera work, sets, and backgrounds are surprisingly well done for a parody, as is CGI. Dialogue is silly and a lot of fun. Sound and soundtrack are solid.
If you enjoy Star Wars and want to have a few laughs, check this one out. Kids should enjoy this as much as adults.
There are a few mild sexual references, a couple of foul words, and some violence, but all are used in support of the comedy so this should be fine for preens and above.
Released: 1999
