Comedian Lynne Koplitz is shameless and ready to talk about women being crazy, her family, the benefits of being childless, and the three things all men really want.
At first, Lynne Koplitz: Hormonal Beast is not all that great and in fact, sounds like she is doing nothing more than complaining. As the show continues she begins looking and sounding a lot like a pampered child which develops into something resembling narcissism. Thankfully her humor finally finds a nice pace with some good jokes and stories so things get much better. Eventually we find ourselves chuckling along and the special ends with some solid humor.
Lynne's presentation is a bit unusual. Her loud wardrobe, piled up hair, and fake tan make her look more like a worn out suburban trophy-wife than a comedian. But when she opens her mouth she comes across as a condescending foul mouthed trailer rat. Still, she was funny in the end.
Camera work and stage setting are nicely done throughout. Sound is good.
Lynne does have some entertaining material and hits on some topics that others probably avoid. Though good, with a bit of presentation improvement she could probably be much better. Stand-up comedy fans who are not afraid of some raunchy humor should enjoy this one.
With plenty of foul language, save this one for the oldest teens and above.
