Live from Washington D.C., Louis C.K. focuses his wit on teachers, email battles, religion, love and giving dogs drugs.
In this special, Louis C.K. shows he still has comedy in his blood. Pontificating on things like religion, he brings to light issues you never realized existed and makes you laugh about them. At the same time, he is exceptionally good at subtly offending the audience, but he always seems able to recover. In this special there are some good laughs, and a few things to think about, but there is also plenty of dead space where you will be wondering if there is a joke on the way.
Acting… well, this is stand-up comedy so, not much acting.
Camera work, sets, and backgrounds were fine and about what you would expect from a stand-up special.
Fans of Louis C.K. should enjoy this one. Those unfamiliar, as with any stand-up comedian, maybe be slightly offended at times.
With some mild foul language and adult topics, this should be fine for older teens and above.
