Extending his Saturday Night Live character, Tim Meadows is Leon Phelps talk radio's self-proclaimed master of seduction. Crossing paths with an ex-paramour and a group of angry husbands who want to kill him for bedding their spouses, Leon's life is crazy to say the least.
Tim Meadows (Leon), Karyn Parsons (Julie), Billy Dee Williams (Lester), John Witherspoon (Scrap Iron), Jill Talley (Candy), Lee Evans (Barney), Will Ferrell (Lance), Julianne Moore (Audrey), Tiffani Thiessen (Honey).
The Ladies Man is a silly journey following talk radio's self-proclaimed master of seduction, Leon, who seems to get himself into one silly situation after another. With plenty of silly comedy, this one flows along at a nice pace and engages the audience pretty well.
Acting was decent with Meadows delivering well. Parsons was a nice addition, as was Williams who added some good depth. Thiessen was enjoyable to watch, while Ferrell, Moore delivered as usual. The remainder of the supporting cast was solid.
Camera work, sets, backgrounds and stunts were enjoyable throughout. Dialogue was campy, corny, and quite a bit of fun. Sound and soundtrack are good.
Overall The Ladies Man is a fun, silly film. Although the plot is pretty thin, the film is enjoyable and brings the laughs.
With some sexuality, nudity, and foul language, save this one for older teens and above.
