Bank robber Jack escapes from jail right into the trunk of a car alongside a beautiful U.S. Marshal, Karen. Kidnapped by mistake, Karen makes it her mission to hunt Jack down but instead finds herself conflicted over her attraction to him.
George Clooney (Jack), Jennifer Lopez (Karen), Ving Rhames (Buddy), Don Cheadle (Maurice), Dennis Farina (Sisco), Steve Zahn (Glenn), Luis Guzman (Chino), Albert Brooks (Richard), Isaiah Washington (Kenneth).
Out of Sight begins well with some good comedy, character introductions, and backstory. From there the film continues to develop the plot and humor and finds good depth. The story moves along at a nice pace and the mix of drama and comedy is well done. The story finishes nicely with a solid ending.
Acting was well done with Clooney and Lopez both delivering good performances and appearing to have nice chemistry. Rhames and Cheadle fit their roles well and managed them with flair. Zahn was hysterical as usual, while Guzman and Brooks rounded out the cast nicely.
Camera work, sets, and backgrounds are good with a solid, realistic feel throughout. Action scenes were fitting and orchestrated very well. Dialogue was good with some nice laughs alongside the drama. Sound and soundtrack are mild.
Overall Out of Sight is a rich film with some good humor, drama, and very nice depth. Fans of Clooney or Lopez should enjoy this one, as should fans of crime thrillers or romantic dramas.
Including some sexuality, violence, gore, and foul language, this should actually be fine for older teens and above.
