Movie review: The 4bidden Fables

From the imagination of fantasy artist Dorian Cleavenger, comes four short stories of the bizarre and macabre.

Rick Montgomery, Suzanne Sadler, Ryan Nogy, Cassandra Kammerer, Richard Billock, Alyssa Herron, Andrew Zibritosky, Brandon Mangin, Nick Staso, Amila Niksic, Miranda Gruss, Rebecca Gruss, Calli Rammel

From fantasy artist Dorian Cleavenger, The 4bidden Fables is a collection of 4 short films. Altered reality is the focus here with a strong foothold in fantasy. Each story is interesting and unique with all 4 being related at the same time. Perspective is also strong in each story relative to the collection. The result is a film that holds interest well while frequently surprising the imagination.

Acting was decent from most everyone involved.

Camera work, sets, and backgrounds are enjoyable and fitting. Action scenes and effects are solid. Dialogue is varied, interesting, and entertaining throughout. Sound and soundtrack are good.

Overall The 4bidden Fables is a mild but interestingly unusual set of stories that hold interest well in a dark way. Horror and dark fantasy fans should enjoy this one.

We could recall some mildly disturbing horror, but little else to limit audience age. Older teens and above should be fine with this one.
