Movie review: Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On

Six personal stories explore dating apps, adult films, cam girls, and more, showing us how the world is changing our view of relationships and intimacy.

Erika Lust, Holly Randall, Bailey Rayne, Meena Serendib, Riley Reynolds.

Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On takes a look at dating and dating apps, adult films and the role women are taking in them, cam girls, and how these things are impacting our relationships and views on intimacy. While some of the stories are interesting, and the information they present entertaining, others feel flat and lacking depth.

As a documentary there wasn't much acting, but what there was seemed to be decent.

Camera work, sets, and backgrounds were natural and reasonably well done. Dialogue felt natural, and unpolished. Sound was decent.

Although this series was somewhat interesting, it was also somewhat disappointing. It felt like there was very little respect paid to the sex workers. Reading a bit about the documentary, it sounds as if they struggled to even find people to be in the series. If you bother watching this one, pick and choose episodes wisely.
