Deadpool is back again, this time to protect a young boy with supernatural abilities from becoming evil. Partnering with the boy's would be assassin, Deadpool builds team of mutants to change the future.
Ryan Reynolds (Wade/Deadpool/Juggernaut voice), Josh Brolin (Cable), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Julian Dennison (Firefist), Zazie Beetz (Domino), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Karan Soni (Dopinder).
Back for round 2, Deadpool is raunchy as ever and quite a bit of fun. The film begins at the end, or the middle maybe, and then wiggles around from there. As the story evolves, or devolves depending on your perspective, things get more interesting, funnier, and the cast continues to grow through the end of the film. Along the way there is more raunchy humor than you can shake a teddy bear at. The story finishes with a decent Happy Ever After ending and anticipation for the next film.
Acting was decent with Reynolds delivering the humor wonderfully as always. Brolin was a fitting choice and contributed nicely. Baccarin was quite enjoyable, and Dennison presented good emotion. Beetz and the remainder of the supporting cast were solid and did nicely.
Camera work, sets, and backgrounds are good and heavily integrated with CGI which is fairly well done. Action scenes are intense and slow motion sequences add to the fun. Dialogue is solid with plenty of laughs to go along with the serious stuff. Sound and soundtrack were awesome with some great 80's tunes.
If you saw the first Deadpool and enjoyed it at all you should enjoy this one as much if not more. Those who enjoy some racy humor should enjoy it as well.
With a lot of sexual references, prolific and lovingly detailed violence, generous and persistent use of foul language, alcohol, and drugs, I double dog dare you to try and keep teens from watching this one.
